Topics we help families strategize:

  • Sleep related concerns

  • Picky eaters

  • Tantrums and behaviors

  • Inattention and hyperactivity concerns

  • Learning differences and dyslexia

  • Issues making friends

  • Struggling with confidence

  • Medically complex needs

  • Grief and trauma issues

  • Navigating new to this country

  • Parent/caregiver burnout

  • Family mediation for separated/divorcing/co-parenting families

Our Why.

The well-being of parents is now recognized as a critical public health issue.
  • In August 2024, the U.S. Surgeon General's issued an Advisory on the Mental Health and Well-Being of Parents.  As outlined by the U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services, it highlighted "the urgent need to better support parents, caregivers, and families to help our communities thrive.

  • The Advisory reported concerning statistics:

    • 41% of parents report most days they are so stressed they cannot function

    • 33% of parents report high levels of stress in the past month compared to 20% of other adults

  • The Advisory identified these key stressors for parents and caregivers:

    • The increasing time demands of both employment and childcare duties.

    • The health and safety of their children.  â€‹

    • Mental health impacts of technology and social media.

    • Parental isolation and loneliness.

    • Cultural pressures of time-intense parenting and their children's future.

  • According to the Mayo Clinic, approximately 1 in 3 adults in the U.S. serve as an informal or family caregiver.  Caregivers risk their own health when they are faced with caregiving stress.  The following factors per the Mayo Clinic increase caregiver stress:

    • Not having good coping or problem-solving skills.

    • Having too little guidance from health care professionals.

    • Having no choice about being a caregiver.

    • Feeling alone.

    • Having money problems.
